Arizona Wholesale
Supply
Hosts August
11th NARI Networking Event with
Jenn-Air
Arizona
Wholesale is partnering with Jenn-Air appliances
for the meeting and "all about
business building" event so bring a plenty of
cards and an associate or two for our Fall
Kick-Off and be prepared to sample some "good
eats" as Jenn-Air provides a live cooking
demo!
Arizona
Wholesale Supply Company is a long standing NARI
member who provides exceptional products and
services to the Valley since 1944. They are
the largest family-owned and operated appliance
company in Arizona with two valley
showrooms (Phoenix and Scottsdale) and
one in Tucson. They have everything
from appliances and flooring to closets and
garage floor coating.
Dan
Huggins, our host comments "we continue to
expand in new directions. We can handle projects
a simple as changing out the carpet in a master
bedroom or update old appliances with new
stainless steel appliances to give your kitchen
a quick makeover and save you and your client
money through high efficiency products. And we
are very pleased to have Jenn-Air cooking for
us."
Jenn-Air
is a premium appliance manufacturer and a part
of Whirlpool Corporation. We look forward
to learning about their cutting edge
products and sampling great food during
the LIVE COOKING DEMO. They
recently introduced new wall ovens with a 7" LCD
touch screen display complete with a Culinary
Center that shows you a picture of what
your food will look like when it's finished
cooking. You will also learn about an industry
first, when they share with us the latest on the
"No pre-heat" option -- a true energy saving
process.

President's
Message

Julie Cook Idea Three
Creative
Happy August! In
late July, a newsletter was sent to the
Chapter reviewing the benefits of
being a member of NARI and especially the
Greater Phoenix Chapter. Sending this
information out is something Jetta, our Chapter
Director and I have talked often about -- to
make sure our members understand exactly what is
available with membership.
I
read the message and began to think of just why
my company holds a membership with NARI. Why
should my company, Inside Out Web Marketing dba
Idea Three Creative, be a member of NARI? We are
not contractors or product suppliers to
contractors. We build websites, host and
maintain them and create videos for them.
Naturally one of the reasons is that many of our
clients work in the home improvement industry.
The biggest reason for me is the relationship
building that has come my way through
involvement in the Chapter.
For contractors and contractor suppliers
there are so many benefits from on-line
estimation program software to group heath
insurance to credibility in the community to
forging partnerships with each other. All of
this comes from going to the meetings,
volunteering, getting to know the other
members and making a difference.
See you at the next
meeting.
Sincerely,
Julie
Cook

Simple
Tips and Tricks to
Networking
Networking is about meeting people AND
building relationships. For some it is a skill
that takes some effort, but with huge
rewards.
Here are a couple of tips to help you
become a more effective networker:
- Set a goal to increase your list of
important business connections. Once you've
compiled your list, reach out to each of them.
- Share something personal and seek a common
interest. When it's not just about numbers and
the bottom line, clients will be able to
personally identify with you. Rooting for the
same sport or volunteering makes you relevant.
- Scrap the memorized pitch in favor of more
natural conversation.
- Resist the urge to be a one-upper.
- An open-ended question is better than one
requiring only a yes or no answer.
- Know your audience.
- Be energetic and passionate about what you
do. People will notice.
- Remember, it's not about you. Learn to
ask..."What's in it for them?"
