Social Media & Our New Blog Site

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our members who signed up for our social media class. Do you business a favor by joining us on our journey into the world of social media. Our first class is Tuesday!

My experience is that it takes time and baby steps to acclimate to this foreign world that we find ourselves in today. Like many of you, I have found that traditional advertising doesn't work like it did in the past. I was sure that I didn't have time or the skills to blog, post on Facebook, and above all tweet. Thankfully, I made the business decision to do it anyway. Last year was hard, the the additional business we got from our new internet exposure saved the day.

This year we all have the opportunity to start taking baby steps. Not only do we have the Social Media class we also have our NARI Remodeling Leaders Blog site at www.RemodelingLeaders.com. The site was created to give all our members a place to show off their remodeling knowledge and receive community recognition as one of the valley's top professionals.

If each of us contribute a couple of paragraphs, the variety of contributions will be very attractive to Google. Once this happens, the site will become a great source of clients for all of us. To contribute, we need you to give us a short article related to remodeling. It can be something you wrote in the past or have posted on your website as long as it is original and not copied from someone else. We need it on a Word document or in the body of an email along with a photo related to your subject, a small photo of you and your web site address that we will post with your blog. Send your blog to Jetta for posting and she will forward it to the editor.

You will also be able to post a link to your blogs on Facebook or on Twitter for additional social media exposure. If you have questions, call me at 602-478-5102.
