If you
haven't been to the Miele showroom, this is a
"must see- must experience"
gallery. Miele boasts a first
class showroom of exceptional
products which is a perfect setting for the

you how simple it is to use a number of Miele
kitchen appliances as she dazzles us with
sizzling and fresh appetizers complimented
by a variety of wines. She adds "Miele is a very
performance rich product line, but you don't
have to be a trained chef to use the products.
However, you can have chef-like results in the
comfort of your kitchen!"
Cortney Winger, Western
Mountain Regional Manager of Miele will also be
demonstrating. Come meet Cortney, Juli and
best Home Appliance members Mike, Terry,
Allen and Joel and see for yourself how easy it
is for your customers to cook like the

President's
Message

Julie Cook Idea Three
Creative
Happy September!
September is always a
pivotal time of year when we are thankful we
made it through the summer heat and look forward
to the fall. A time of year when we look back on
what we accomplished and begin getting organized
for the last part of the year. A time of
year that brings us hope for the future --almost
exciting in a way. This is the time of year when
we rekindle our business friendships and really
begin working again on our networking
skills. I have written often about
the many opportunities that are available to
members of Greater Phoenix NARI but I have not
expounded upon the importance of "networking"
with other members of this organization. I
see how people are able to come together for the
common purpose of growing their individual
businesses and this is done by building their
relationships as members of NARI.
Networking doesn't just bring added business, it
also develops long lasting friendships that are
mutually beneficial to the people within the
business.
Come to the
meetings and see how being part of this
organization can benefit
you.
Sincerely,
Julie
Cook

Be More Persuasive
- Five Strategies
Researchers who study persuasion
have formulated a series of rules to make a
difference. In the book, Yes! 50
Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive
(Goldstein, Martin & Cialdini) 50
effective strategies to make you more persuasive
are revealed. Here are five:
1. Don't offer too many
choices. Too many choices promotes
indecision. This leads to frustration on both
ends.
2. Request active
commitments. Ask in a way that elecits
an active response. "What time on Tuesday should
I call you?" is one such example.
3. Argue against
self-interest. Trust is a creitical
component to persuasion. The surest way to be
perceived as honest is to admit to a small
weakness in your argument, product of business
prior to communiction the stronges pro
argument.
4. The threat of loss is
more persasive than the potential for
gain. Inform prospects what they stand
to lose out on if they don't buy your products
or services.
5. Make people feel as if
they've already made progress toward a
goal. People are really looking for a
"deal." What are you "giving" them that
your competition is
not? |
|
Networking
- Great Benefit to Volunteering
The networking opportunities
gained thru volunteering provide one of the most
exciting benefits of all. A good network can
provide you with business leads, build your
interpersonal skills, gain confidence and
introduce you to new friends, maybe
even land you a new job in your future.
The continued success and strength
of our Chapter rests within the talents, energy
and involvement of you,
the members. As Steven Covey writes
"Without involvement, there is no
commitment." There's no better place to
meet like-minded people who want to build their
businesses with other ethical and integrity
centered remodeling professionals and
associates. Contact Jetta to see where you and
and will make a difference to your Greater
Phoenix
NARI. |

2011 Greater Phoenix NARI CotY
Competition
Mike
Daniel, CR of Legacy Design Build
Remodeling entered last year's CotY competition
and had tremendous results. Mike states "We won
several local and regional CotY's and were were
able to use almost the same entries for the
Chrysals and Master Design awards and won
several as well. The ability to share with
prospects the fact that we are an award winning
remodeling company has helped Legacy. I don't
think we'll ever miss a year of entering a least
a few projects for the CotY
Awards."
On the
fence about entering? The Chapter has samples of
award winning entries that you can review.
